Many online and land based poker rooms have incorporated bad beat jackpots in order to give players more incentive to sit in on cash games. Absolute Poker and UltimateBet were the leading USA online poker rooms to offer such a jackpot, but one of the bigger poker rooms has recently concocted their own form of bad beat payment.
Bodog Poker has recently brought bad beat action to their tables. Though the victory may not be as large as some other online poker rooms, the stakes are considerably lower and more hands are eligible for the jackpot.
While most online bad beat jackpots are only up for grabs with a four of a kind or better, Bodog poker’s bad beat jackpot can be seen with a full house, aces full of kings, or better. Those who hold this hand and still find that they are beaten will be eligible to win 100 times the big blind, to a maximum of $1,000 dollars.
Several conditions must be met prior to the bad beat victory. First, players must be sitting at a Texas Hold ‘em cash game table – tournaments are not eligible. Both pocket cards must be played in both the winning and losing hand at the table. Next, three or more players must be dealt cards in the hand. Furthermore, the hand must be brought to a showdown – no early folds are eligible. Finally, the player taking the bad beat must submit the hand number to Bodog’s customer service department before 48 hours pass.
The $1,000 dollars will be credited as soon as the bat beat is verified. The hand number must be verified by poker@bodog.com… in order to be verified. No roll over is required for these funds, and the money may be cashed in.
Bodog’s online poker room has recently been growing in popularity, due in part to their new bad beat jackpot as well as the recently expanded deposit bonus found through their site. Rather than their previous 110% match to $600 dollars, Bodog is now offering new players a chance to take a 110% match to $1,100 dollars – one of the largest deposit bonuses of the best USA poker rooms.
